Westminster Presbyterian - Membership
Whatever your stage in your spiritual journey, we are committed to connecting with you in faith and life. We want to help you find your place here at Westminster.
Becoming a member of Westminster expresses your commitment to this part of the family of God; a family that worships together, grows in faith together, and loves and serves one another as Christ leads us.
In the three part Membership Class, we give an overview of our congregation’s history and structure, a snapshot of our ministry values and life of faith, and present opportunities for connecting to the body of Christ here at Westminster in fellowship and service. If you're interested in membership, please let the church office know so that you may be connected to the next available class.
Simply becoming a member of Westminster (or any other church) does not assure anyone of eternal life. Nor is membership a requirement for authentic faith or to worship and serve here at Westminster. Still, the Bible does tell believers to meet regularly with a group of Christians who love, serve, and encourage one another– to become a family in Christ.
Becoming a member at Westminster is a way of committing to this particular part of God’s family. You and the church vow to support one another as we walk together in faith, build one another up in love, and share in the ministry of our Lord. The offices of elder and deacon, and certain decisions in the life of the church (matters that require the vote of the congregation), are reserved for those who have fully committed to the church family in membership.
