Connect Groups
We believe it is important for all people to feel a sense of belonging. We value Sunday morning worship! We know how important it is to gather with other Christians (and those who are not yet believers!) to praise our God, to be reminded of our identity in Jesus Christ, and to be fueled by the Holy Spirit as we partner with God to bring the hope of Jesus to our world. Unfortunately, it’s hard to feel a sense of belonging if we only see our each other for 60-90 minutes, once/week, right?
That’s where Connect Groups come in! Connect Groups provide the opportunity to connect to God more deeply, connect to others more authentically, and connect to mission more fully. Through Connect Groups we find safety and our identity in Christ. We experience the joy of belonging and discover God’s purposes for us. We offer a variety of weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly opportunities for both men and women, youngers and olders, singles and marrieds, widows and widowers. Some groups are for six-weeks, while others are more long-term. Some groups discuss the weekly sermon while others study a book of the Bible or a Christian-based book. Some groups build connection through a shared interest and others by sharing a meal together. The sizes of the groups vary from three to 15 and are open to all, whether one is a member of the WPC family or not.
