Youth Group

Medford, Oregon

Wednesdays | Middle & High School Youth Group: 6:30-8:30 pm on Wednesdays in the Youth Center, affectionately called The Barn, which is near the playground at the south parking lot.

We have a community building hour for games and relationships.  Then we have a time of worship, discussion, and breakout groups.  Middle and High School are separate for most of the time, except worship.

We take the 4th week of the month off for families to have more time to disciple, allow time for creative discipleship, and allow our volunteer led team to tend to their own discipleship.  If there’s a 5th week of the month, we will meet.  All welcome!

Sundays | 6th-9th Grade Class : Join us for our 10:45am Contemporary Worship Service.  After a time of worship and prayer, 6-9th Grade students are dismissed for Empower – an interactive, developmentally targetted class.  We take the 1st Sunday of the month off to join in the Communion Service.

Sundays | Family Co-Op Lunch: 6th-12th Grade joins in on Family Co-Op from 12:15-12:45pm at the Youth Center to hang out, eat lunch, and play games.  Parents can connect with other youth and younger parents for free food while their kids hang out.  This is a great way to support one another through the family phase of life.  We take the 1st Sunday of the month off to join in the Communion Gathering for food in the Gathering Place.  Mom’s Group is on the last Sunday of the month, so dad’s can watch the kids together during Co-Op while the kids play.

Teaching Series:

Walking with God through Suffering

It’s a universal question.  How do we make sense of suffering?

No matter one’s background, relgion, or worldview… we all face this challenge.  It’s usually not an academic exercise.  It’s our own pain.

In this series, we will discuss several different portraits from the Bible.  Like different stained glass windows, each of them give us a different glimpse into the mystery of how God meets us in our suffering.  And ultimately, how the cross changes everything.  Come find moments of theology, philosophy, psychology, and spiritual formation.  But most of all, come find hope.  Find God meeting you in your suffering.

You’re welcome to join us.  Whether you are new to the Bible, or simply curious and have questions.  All backgrounds are welcome to the discussion.
